Exams & Cleanings

Routine exams & cleanings are usually performed every 6 months to ensure proper maintenance and prevention. However, there are occasions when patients have to attend cleanings every 3 months because they are of moderate to high risk in getting tooth decay.

X-Rays

Radiographs are taken during comprehensive exam or when pathology/trauma is suspected. This enables the doctor to properly diagnose your child’s oral health. For example, determining if cavities or infection exists or monitoring the proper development of the teeth. Our state-of-the-art technology only uses a fraction of radiation compared to older units.

Appliances

Though many parents think of teens using dental appliances, the use of such appliances in young children is very common. Even before full orthodontic treatment may be needed, some dental appliances may be recommended for preventative purposes, while others may be recommended for treatment of space maintenance or malocclusion (“Bad Bite”) correction just to name a few.

Fillings

Also called tooth restorations, are done to replace tooth structure that has been removed due to decay or for teeth that may need to be restored due to trauma. The materials we use are innovative, modern, durable and safe

Our treatments include: nitrous oxide (LOL Gas/laughing gas”), Oral conscious sedations, in-office IV sedations from Mellow-Kids.com and when necessary, treat children under general anesthesia at Joe DiMaggio Childrens Hospital. Sealants

Dental Sealants play an important role in maintaining a healthy mouth. A Sealants is a material that’s placed on the permeant molar in order to prevent cavities from forming the chewing surface. Sealants help protect by acting as a barrier making it easier to clean surface with your toothbrush. All of the materials we use for fillings and sealants are BPA and BIS-GMA free

Crowns

Tooth colored crowns which are placed on the front of the teeth provide the best esthetics and strength. Stainless steel crowns are used in the back teeth (molars) that give the best retention and strength. Our goal is to provide the proper health of your child’s dentition, to allow proper growth of oral cavity and permanent dentition.
